„Work was completed in May 2016 to replace the Route 30 bridge over Bessemer Avenue in East Pittsburgh in Allegheny County. The single-span structure was replaced using accelerated bridge construction methods. It was demolished and replaced in just 57 hours using precast modules. Around 20 workers on 12-hour shifts cleared much of the old structure and pieced together the new one. It replaces a 1930 bridge that had become structurally deficient. The stretch of Route 30 carries about 22,000 vehicles a day.“
